Aisling McMorrow

Leader of Provision for Students of Determination and Primary SENCo

My name is Aisling McMorrow and I have had the pleasure of working at WSO since September 2014. I joined WSO as a Year 4 Class Teacher, before moving into the Inclusion department and then becoming Primary SENCo.

I completed my Undergraduate degree in Psychology and English in Ireland prior to achieving my Post Graduate Certificate in Education in London. I then went on to work as a Key Stage 2 teacher specialising in Reading at a primary school in London. Throughout my teaching career, I began to realise that my true passion was inclusion. I am a huge advocate of life-long learning and have pursued qualifications within Special Educational Needs, including the International Award for SEN Coordination through the University of Sunderland. I have completed 40 hours of Registered Behaviour Technician training and I am trained in using the ADOS-2, which is a diagnostic instrument used for observational assessment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This training has strengthened my skills and expertise with the Inclusion Team here at WSO.

I am delighted to be an advocate for Inclusion at Gems WSO and I am excited to further broaden the school's excellent Inclusive ethos.
