Nathan Sadler

Primary Vice Principal,
Teaching and Learning, Assessment, Innovation

Hello, my name is Nathan Sadler and I am the Primary Vice Principal. My responsibilities include: Assessment; Teaching and Learning Standards; and Innovation across the Academy.

I was born and raised in a small town called Wymondham, which is in the county of Norfolk in England. I graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2009 with a First Class BEd (Hons) in Primary Education.

I have been an educator for over 10 years and I am a founding member of GEMS Wellington Academy having helped open the School in 2011. My previous roles have included being a Key Stage 2 teacher, Maths Coordinator, Head of Year and KS1 Assistant Principal. I have experience teaching and leading the National Curriculum for England and the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).

Being a VP, I thrive on the opportunity to make a difference and have a positive impact on thousands of students and teachers. I would like all students to excel and enjoy WSO, becoming life-long holistic learners through a creative enquiry-based curriculum.  My aim is to empower teachers with the motivation to teach innovatively, and ensure all students reach their potential and beyond.

My family and I are active members of the Dubai Silicon Oasis Community, living right next to school! My wife teaches in Year 2 at WSO, and we have 3 beautiful young children called Amelie, Archie and Aurora – our little A-Team! Amelie attends WSO in FS therefore I am also a parent who is extremely grateful for the education my child receives. The 5 of us enjoy going to the beach, swimming and endless amounts of soft-plays! We all keep active, and having completed 5 marathons, I am always looking for my next challenge.
